Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has signed ordinances giving Php500.00 to select Manila residents monthly.
Manila Ordinance No. 8464 mandates the local government to provide or give Php500.00 each month to senior citizens, solo parents and persons with disabilities.
The ordinance also covers monetary allowance for Grade 12 students to be given per month. Manila residents who are enrolled in public schools are set to benefit from this ordinance.
“Only Grade 12 students who are Manila residents and are enrolled in Manila public schools are covered by the ordinance,” the Manila Public Information Office said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, Moreno also signed an Executive Order cancelling the permit of establishments selling liquor within 200 meters of any school in Manila.
