A passenger plane was forced to return to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) due to a bird strike right after its take off.
Cagayan De Oro bound flight 5J-382 of Cebu Pacific was damaged following the bird attack but the airline said that all passengers were safe.
Cebu Pacific spokesperson Charo Logarta said that the replacement craft left the NAIA at around 7:20AM and some 4 hours after the initial takeoff, reaching its destination at 8:30AM.
Although aircrafts are designed to withstand a bird strike, a serious incident can bend or fracture the internal blades of an aircraft.
