Radio personality and “Bitag” anchor Ben Tulfo lambasted Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Chief Rolando Bautista for his conditions before accepting Erwin Tulfo’s apology.
In a twitter post, Tulfo said “[Glaring] na “brotherhood”! [A]ng KAKAPAL! Ayon sa kumag na OIC, mag-sorry daw sa lahat ng media outlet. “BUTAW” na P300k kinakailangan para mahugasan ang kasalanan.”
Bautista broke his silence, Friday by saying that he will be accepting Erwin’s apology if certain conditions will be met.
“Taos-puso po akong nagpapasalamat sa bawat isa’t po sa inyo na nagpaabot at nagpakita ng simpatya at pagkabahala para sa akin dahil sa matinding pagsubok at paninirangnpuro at insulto sa aking pagkatao ng programang Tutok Tulfo,” Bautista said in his statement.
The DSWD Chief also wants Erwin to apologize in different media platforms and donate 300,000 pesos each to at least 19 organizations to prove his sincerity.
“Tsong, daig mo pa si Padre Damaso at mga kolokoy na kauri mo! Nagpapatawa ka ba?! #unfiltered” Ben said.
Erwin got the ire of Bautista’s colleagues at the Philippine Military Academy after the radio commentator insulted Bautista for not taking his call.
Days after the incident, military and PNP personnel assigned as security escorts to the Tulfo family were pulled out.
Erwin’s firearms were also recalled following the expiration of his licence to carry firearms.
