More OFWs use internet to buy real estate

DUBAI: From using multiple social media platforms to connect and communicate with families and loved ones back in the Philippines, Pinoys abroad are fast becoming more internet-savvy and are using technology to their advantage.

Overseas Filipino workers have also started to “migrate” online in their search for house and lot and other real estate ventures. According to a consumer survey, an increasing number of OFW families are allotting remittances for purchasing a home, a moving testament to their devotion and willingness to endure personal sacrifices and fulfill their life-long dream of finally having their own home.

“This is the reason why we are continuously increasing our digital presence. We want to reach out to more OFWs looking for affordable homes for their families. Our newly-redesigned website, www.thegreencirclerealty.com aims to give updated & useful tips to every Filipino homebuyer all over the world. It’s all part of mission to help our OFWs enjoy a better life,” Gabriel “Billy” Dominguez president of Green Circle Realty (GCR) said.

“Our buyers’ profile consistently reveals that majority of our clientele comes from the OFW segment. Thanks to technology and the internet, we are not hindered by distance and time zone to make our services readily available to our kababayans abroad,” Dominguez added.

GCR established its niche in the industry by catering mainly to the housing needs of OFWs and middle- and above-income earners.

Dominguez said a huge percentage of their homebuyers comes from the UAE region.

“We consider our OFWs the real modern-day heroes not only because of the sacrifices they make for their families but also for their help in strengthening the Philippine economy. In our own way, we strive to make life better for them by offering affordable homeownership options, as well as unlimited income opportunities by honing their potential to become successful salespreneurs,” Dominguez said.

GCR’s circle of top-earning salespreneurs today includes OFWs who started out as homebuyers but discovered the opportunity to earn more in real estate. By designating their spouses & relatives based in the Philippines, they have become GCR’s extended marketing arm abroad.

Through GCR’s top digital platforms like its website and Facebook page, as well as its social media-active salespeople, the 13-year old real estate company has become synonymous to affordable, quality homes and inspiring success stories even to the Filipino communities in other countries.
