The Misdemeanor Court in Fujairah heard the case of a housemaid and her boyfriend who were arrested after the former’s employer discovered that they were having an illicit love affair.
Court records stated that the two defendants who are both Asians started their relationship over the phone, reported Khaleej Times.
When the maid’s employers were out of the house, the two of them decided to meet and have sex inside the house.
The maid invited the man into her room inside her sponsor’s home, but her employers returned home earlier than expected.
The wife of her sponsor found out that the house was still untidy so she called on their maid to clean up the place.
However, the maid did not respond after getting called several times. The female employer then decided to check on her in her room.
When the sponsor’s wife opened the room, she was shocked to find the man inside her maid’s room.
She immediately informed her husband about what she found inside their maid’s room and called the Fujairah police to get the two arrested.
The Fujairah public prosecution referred their case to the Misdemeanor Court which charged the two defendants with having an illicit love affair.
When the two of them appeared before the court, the man said that he is not the maid’s boyfriend because they are blood related.
The man said that the maid is her cousin and denied the charges saying that they never did anything wrong.
The court adjourned the case to a later session to give its verdict.
