San Miguel Corp. earns P1 trillion two years ahead of target thanks to this product

The year 2018 marks San Miguel Corporations (SMC) biggest year after more than a century in business hitting the P1-trillion revenue mark, two years ahead of its target.

In a report of the company to the Philippine Stock Exchange, consolidated revenues reached P1.02 trillion, 24 percent more from 2017.

Records shows strong financial performance by its petroleum business which started in 2009, reported Esquire.

Petron Corporation already accounts for a majority of the company’s revenues while recent venture in infrastructure now accounts for more than a tenth of the business. In 2018, the fuel firm’s combined revenues reached P557.4 billion in value, a 28-percent increase from 2017 while SMC Infrastructure marked P24.5 billion revenue.

The company announced that it will start building the largest airports in Asia, the “aeropolis” in Bulacan this year, while on the process of completing the MRT-7 project.
