The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) opened bus services that will allow Dubai residents to travel to Muscat in Oman.
RTA Dubai partnered with Mwasalat, Oman’s national transport company, to operate three daily trips from Dubai to Muscat leaving at 7:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., reported Gulf News.
Residents can embark on the six-hour Dubai to Muscat trip in three locations in the emirate – Abu Hail Metro Station, Dubai Airport Terminal 2, or Rashidiya Metro Station.
Three trips will operate from Dubai to Muscat on a daily basis with one-way tickets amounting to Dh55. Return tickets, meanwhile, cost Dh90.
Once the buses reach Oman, there will be several stops including Shinas, Sohar, Barka, Muscat Airport and Athiba Bus Stations. Buses bound to Dubai will also stop at these stations.
Ahmad Behroozian, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency, said that the authorities will be adding new buses and stops in the existing Dubai-Muscat route.
