The UAE reminds its citizens once again that divulging secrets and private information about an individual’s life without their consent can be fined up to Dh 500,000 and will serve up to 6 months of jail time.
Lawyer Eissa bin Haider said that the UAE’s Cybercrime Law clearly states that sharing personal details of an individual’s private or family life is prohibited if done without permission even if the said details were true, reports Khaleej Times.
Fines range from Dh 150,000 to Dh 500,000 with a jail time of up to 6 months.
