Death penalty to Pakistani boy’s rapist-killer lands on President Khalifa’s table

The Abu Dhabi Court of Cassation gave a death sentence to the Pakistani man who raped and killed the 11-year-old Azan Majid, a Pakistani boy, at the rooftop of their apartment building in 2017.

The sentence was upheld by the court and submitted to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for approval.

Earlier, the court allowed the convict to pay blood money to the family of the boy but it was later cancelled by the court.

The execution will follow Islamic laws.

The boy went missing in 2017 after leaving their house to attend the Asr prayers at a mosque. Some witnesses said that he left the mosque but he never arrived home.

Azan was found at the rooftop of their apartment building by aircon technicians the next morning.

It was found that the convict wore a burqa to disguise as a woman to lure the victim.
