President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 785 prisoners across the country ahead of the 47th National Day celebrations.
The release of prisoners, and the settlement of their debts and fines, reflect the President’s keenness to grant them another chance for a new life and to relieve their families hardships.
Prisoners are released on the basis of their good conduct.
The release of the prisoners were ahead of the country’s celebration of its 47th National Day on December 2. In line with the celebration, workers in both the public and private sector will have a two-day holiday.
