Dubai Mall is opening 5,000 new parking spaces

To ease the traffic situation in the vicinity of the shopping center, especially during weekends and holidays, the Dubai Mall will construct 5,000 new parking spaces for its shoppers and visitors.

In a report by Gulf News, the mall is set to construct the new parking spaces by spring 2019 as said by the chief executive of Emaar Malls Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne.

The Dubai Mall is expecting over 87 million visitors this year. Currently, it offers 9,500 parking spaces to its customers but still faces traffic problems especially during rush and peak hours. This woeful situation is reported as number one concern of the shoppers and retailers alike.

According to Emaar Malls, they will be constructing the new parking spaces via its ongoing Zabeel and fountain view extensions.

By the end of construction, Dubai Mall shall have about 14,500 parking spaces for its customers.
