A 32-year-old Filipino woman from Cumming, Georgia killed her husband and then took her own life two days after.
Jackielyn Belangel Brewster shot her husband, Adrian Lavaughn Brewster, a 50-year-old teacher at Etowah High School in Forsyth County, on August 18 before she turned the gun to herself two days after committing the murder, reported Inquirer.net.
The couple’s two children, aged nine and three, were nearby when both killings happened. Authorities were able to find the bodies of the couple, and the two children inside the house when they arrived there.
Further reports stated that the children are now staying with their relatives.
Friends of the Filipina said that Jackielyn experienced domestic abuse from her husband prior to the incident.
They also created a GoFundMe page to raise US$10,000 to repatriate Jackielyn’s remains to the Philippines.
