A transport system which will cut travel time from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and vice versa from more than one hour and 30 minutes to 12 minutes will be built in the UAE.
According to Dubai Media Office, the Hyperloop is a tube-like cabin with embedded touchscreens, strategically positioned seats, and a cozy ambience to offer a more comfortable ride to passengers.
The Hyperloop can run up to 700 miles per hour and is expected to save money lost from late workers due to transport by $800 million (Dh2.9 billion).
Currently, the transport system is in its testing phase, which is expected to finish in five years. After the tests, the construction will immediately follow.

In February, residents had a first glimpse of the Hyperloop when it was displayed at Dubai City Walk as a part of the UAE Innovation Month.
“The hyperloop is part of RTA’s initiatives for Dubai Future Accelerators. RTA and Virgin Hyperloop One Company have made considerable progress in the technical, engineering and economic feasibility study of the project. Progress made also included identifying the routes for operating the hyperloop along with its initial design model, which will be exhibited for the first time in the world,” said HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General, and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
