The websites of the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai are currently inaccessible after being affected by a hardware failure on one of the Government Web Hosting Service’s (GWHS) storage systems.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said Tuesday that a total of 117 government websites have been affected by the said malfunction, reported CNN Philippines.
As per the advisory DICT posted on their Facebook account, they clarified that the websites have not been hacked and that the department is already looking for solutions to fix the problem.
The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai also posted an announcement on their Facebook page saying that its website is currently under maintenance. Due to the problem, it said that passport appointments may be scheduled on this link.
