Two of the Philippines’s travel destination favorites made it to the top 10 of Travel + Leisure’s 15 best islands in the world.
Cebu was ranked 8th, with a score of 89.10 while Palawan placed two ranks above at 6th, scoring 90.4. The latter used-to hold the number 1 spot in same list last year.
Readers of the magazine judged according to the activities, natural attractions and beaches, food, friendliness, and overall value of the islands.
“The Edenic Philippine outpost of Palawan scored the top spot on this list in 2013 and in 2017; it also makes the grade this year, although it cedes the top spot to a surprise entry. It remains in fine company, voted in along with its sister island Cebu,” the magazine wrote.
Philippines’ neighbor Indonesia conquered the list with Lombok, Bali, and Java occupying the top 3 spots.
