Two leading members of the Psychological Society of the Philippines – Dubai and Abu Dhabi chapters and the Filipino Educators in the UAE recently conducted a free lecture on depression and mental health before members of the family renewal community CFC in Jebel Ali.

Dr. Neda June D. Salazar of the Higher Colleges of Technology and Dr. Djonde Frega Antiado of the American College of Dubai discussed the causes and symptoms of depression and how to address mental health issues affecting the youth.

The two counselor-educators who was accompanied by Dr. Rommel Sergio, president of the Filipino Educators and co-board member of the Psychological Society, disclosed that in Dubai and Northern Emirates alone they are being consulted by about 50 parents whose children study in four Philippine schools.
