Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes led this morning’s flag-raising ceremony as part of events celebrating the Filipino’s people’s independence from 300 years of Spanish colonial rule on June 12, 1898 following a revolution that started in 1896. The Filipino community here will be celebrating the event on Friday, June 15 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
