Posting unlicensed posters in Abu Dhabi will entail this much fine

The Abu Dhabi Municipality has reminded residents that posting unlicensed posters and signboards is an offense that can entail a fine that must be paid within a month.

Authorities said that posting posters and signboards near homes, on building facades, streets and other places can result to a fine worth Dh1,000 (approx. P14,000), reported Khaleej Times.

This includes putting up ‘No Parking’ signs near one’s residence or in other places to reserve a parking spaces for themselves without rightful authorization.

If a person is caught putting up posters or signages without municipal permission, he or she shall pay the said fine within 30 days. If the offender fails to pay, he or she will be referred to the courts.

Officials said that putting up signages will deface public areas and residents should refrain from doing it.

Advertising materials, such as posters, banners, or boards on streets, should have proper permits to avoid any problems.
