The Sharjah Criminal Court has charged one Asian man who allegedly sent death threats to his coworker.
According to the complainant, the accused had threatened to kill him if he refused to take back a case the defendant lodged against him at the Sharjah Civil Court.
The 35-year-old victim further narrated that the Asian man had been detained by police following the filing of the case against him.
After he got out of police custody, the accused called the complainant and asked for a meetup.
It was during their meeting on February 28 when the Asian man asked the victim to drop the charges he filed against him. When the complainant refused, the suspect hurled offensive words toward him.
The accused denied all the charges.
Meanwhile, the court has adjourned the case and is set to hear the side of the defense at the next hearing.
