PH 5th most religious country in the world — study

A study by an international polling group revealed that the Philippines is one of the most religious countries in the world.

In a study conducted by Gallup International, the Philippines emerged as the fifth most religious country worldwide out of 68 countries polled.

The study also showed 90 percent of Filipino respondents claimed they are religious.

Thailand ranked first at 98 percent, followed by Nigeria at 97 percent. Kosovo, India, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Papua New Guinea shared the third place, all with a rating of 94 percent.

Meanwhile, Fiji and Armenia, claimed the fourth spot.

Meanwhile, China was deemed the least religious country in the world after 23 percent of its residents declared themselves as non-religious. Almost 7 out of 10 people there were also considered as atheists.

Other non-religious countries, according to the study, included Sweden, Czech Republic, and United Kingdom.
