President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Francisco Domagoso, popularly known as Isko Moreno, as undersecretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Wednesday, May 9.
Malacañang released Domagoso’s appointment letter seven months after Moreno quit as chairman of the North Luzon Railways Corp. (Northrail) for personal reasons.
Domagoso expressed his gratitude towards Duterte for placing his trust on him.
“Malugod po akong nagpapasalamat sa muling pagtitiwala na ipinagkaloob sa atin ng ating Pangulong Duterte,” Domagoso said.
“Malaking trabaho at responsibilidad po ito ngunit gagawin ko po ang lahat upang magampanan ang aking tungkulin inatang sa ‘tin sa abot ng aking makakaya para sa mga nangangailangan natin mga mahihirap na kababayan,” he added.
Before serving as chairman of Northrail, Domagoso served as vice mayor of Manila.
Other appointments include Gerard Camiña as board member of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Antonio Joselito Lambino II as assistant secretary of the Department of Finance (DOF), and Sherwin Rigor as undersecretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
