The Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defense fighters rescued 176 students as fire broke out in a theater located inside a kindergarten on Monday, May 7.
The fire erupted early morning at the Al Worood Kindergarten for Children at the Dahan area.
“The theatre is located outside the main building and the children were in their classes,” Hana Al Naqbi, Deputy Manager of the kindergarten told the media.
“The theatre was completely burned and all the equipment was damaged,” she added.
No casualties were reported, according to the Ministry of Education.
“The Ministry of Education confirms the safety of our students at Al Worood kindergarten in RAK after a fire broke out in the theatre. Civil defense teams managed to deal with the fire very quickly,” the Ministry wrote on Twitter.

Al Naqbi said that electrical fault might be the cause of the fire. However, authorities have not yet confirmed such claim.
The incident has been referred to the RAK police for further investigation.
