A 21-year-old Filipino was arrested by authorities for allegedly raping his girlfriend.
According to a report by Asia Times published on April 16, the Filipino man, a holder of a Hongkong identity card, was with her girlfriend at a flat in a private housing estate on Kin Tung Road in Tung Chung, Hongkong.
The woman, a 24-year-old local, wanted to end her relationship with the man but the latter did not agree.
Things got violent when the woman started slapping her boyfriend several times. She eventually decided to continue their relationship.
After the incident, the man allegedly asked his girlfriend to have sex with him. When she turned him down, he allegedly began to force her into having sex.
Other tenants of the housing estate reportedly called authorities to investigate the noise coming from the lovers’ room.
Police found the Filipino with injuries on his face. Upon inquiry, he said that he sustained such injuries during an argument with his girlfriend.
But the woman recounted a different story and told police that she was raped by her boyfriend.
The Filipino is currently detained at a police station for interrogation.
The crime unit at Lantau Police is now handling the case.
