Rainy weather in UAE to last until Monday, says NCM

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has cautioned UAE residents of a rainy weather with light dust and sand storm, causing poor visibility less than 2,000 meters until Monday, February 26, 2018.

For today, February 25, weather conditions are ‘unstable’ as clouds will increase over time in some areas, “becoming convective at times with rainfall of different intensity,” updated NCM on its official Twitter account.

Highest temperature is at 30°C along the coast and 28°C in other parts of the emirates.
Wind speed is at 58.7 km/h at times, resulting to dust and sand storm build-up and poor visibility over exposed areas.

The five areas with the lowest temperature today include Jais Mountain, Mebreh Mountain, Jabal Hafeet, Abu Al Bukhoosh, Sir Bani Yas ranging from 10.8-17.9 degree Celcius between 7:45-8:00 a.m. today.

The Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi called upon the motorists to ensure their safety by staying away from rain pools when the precipitation hit several areas especially those in highlands.
