The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has started installing the promised air- conditioning units at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 to address passengers’ inconvenience.
A 12-tonner 15HP stand alone air-condition units were set at the pre-departure gates of the domestic wing of the terminal.
Sixteen (16) units are designated at the gates of 116 to 120, with each gate having 4 units strategically placed to give a cool temperature at a calculated 19-20 degree Celsius at the open waiting area.
Likewise, 36 units will be equally stationed at the pre-departure gates of 107-115 of the International wing.
MIAA expects the installation of all units to be finished by March this year.
“With this development, passengers can be assured of a convenient and relaxing atmosphere while waiting for boarding especially this coming summer season,” MIAA manager Ed Monreal said.
Monreal also said that a total of 30 units of cooling coils and 6 units of primary air handling units are currently being replaced in line with their rehabilitation of the central air-condition of the terminal.
