Fashion photographer and Filipino Times photographer of the year nominee Jef Anog on Thursday, debuted his seven year collection at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.
The Sariaya, Quezon native shared with Gulf News the context of his collection, which is a reflection of his enriching journey in the UAE.
Before taking on fashion photography Anog revealed in an earlier interview with The Filipino Times, that he started out as an accountant and relegated photography as a hobby. “I was your typical accountant, finding his way through the corporate world. At first, photography was just a hobby and as I improved myself on it, it became another way of earning extra dirhams.”
After successfully making the leap to photography and leaving accounting behind, Anog shared what it felt like to follow your dreams and in the process blaze a trail for Filipinos abroad.
“When they realize that a Filipino is responsible for a cover of an Arabic magazine or an international magazine, they tend to celebrate with you and in turn uplift their morale as Filipinos,” Anog added.
Admired in his chosen career Anog has worked with other successful Filipinos abroad, including fashion designer Michael Cinco.
