Any balikbayan could win a condominium unit, a car or about P200,000 worth shopping certificates and roundtrip international tickets by bringing their foreigner friends to the Philippines.
Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Wanda Teo said in an event in Ontario, Canada the department will revive the Bring Home a Friend program which was first launched by former tourism secretary Mina Gabour in 1994.
‘The Bring Home a Friend’ program urged OFWs to showcase the wonders of the Philippines and help DOT in selling the country to the international market.
“I know you are all eager to do it for free. But just the same, the DOT with the private sector will be giving away incentives to those who can bring home a friend from Sept. 1, 2017 to March 2018,” Teo said.
To know more about the grand raffle draw, Teo urged OFWs to inquire with DOT officials designated in their region.
