Stronger ties for PH and UAE; Ruler of Dubai, praised Filipinos

Good news for all the Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE’s Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai agreed to strengthen bilateral ties with the Philippines.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto R. Yasay, visited UAE last March 1 to 4, during the visit the two government officials agreed about the increase in political consultations to exchange views on various issues, and to increase exchanges of high-level visits, as reported by Inquirer.

Furthermore, the Government of Dubai Media Office quoted the Ruler of Dubai,“Sheikh Mohammed praised the contribution of the Filipino community in the development of the UAE, and also wished that relations would witness more development and progress in various domains.”

Present at the meeting were Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Future Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for International Co-operation Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, and Director- General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai H.E. Khalifa Saeed Suleiman and Philippine ambassador to the UAE, Constancio Vingno Jr. – KCO
