You don’t have to go to other countries for a wonderful family vacation! Here’s a quick list of must-go places for that much-needed family time.
1. Siargao, Surigao del Norte
It is widely known as the Surfing Spot of the Philippines, but you can also go island hopping (check out Naked Island!), visit caves and lagoons, rent a bike, relax on the beach, and take surfing lessons!
2. Batanes
Batanes, an island that sits at the northernmost part of the Philippines endowed with lush green landscapes, white-sand beaches, unique cobblestone houses and breathtaking views to die for.
3. Panglao, Bohol
Just a few minutes shy from Panglao Island, Virgin Island is Bohol’s very own hidden oasis with its powdery white sands and crystal clear waters. Stroll along this long stretch of white sand with your family while admiring the beauty of nature and the marine life surrounding you.
4. Bolinao, Pangasinan
The travel time to get here is a bit long (a 6-7-hour drive) but everything will be worth it once you arrive. Aside from its beaches, Bolinao is also famous for its falls (Bolinao Falls) and caves (Enchanted Cave)! You can also visit one of the tallest lighthouse in the country at Bolinao which is the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse.
5. Cebu
Recently, travelers have been raving about its secluded islands with white sand beaches with and clear blue waters. Who knew Cebu hid such beauty?
6. Davao
This city’s blessed with vast farmlands and iconic tourist spots such as Mt. Apo, the largest mountain in the country, and the nearly extinct Philippine Eagle.
7. El Nido, Palawan
A favorite of most travelers because of its pristine beaches and waters, you can go snorkeling with your family and get up close and personal with different marine creatures or you can just sit back, relax, and take it all in.
8. Ilocos Norte
Ilocos Norte is home to one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Site: Paoay Church. You can head on over to La Paz, Ilocos Norte to satisfy your adrenaline craving and try sandboarding and riding a 4×4! Other places you can visit in Ilocos Norte are the Bangui Windmills, Patapat Viaduct and Kapupurawan rock formation.
