Filipino weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz received Thursday her cash reward amounting to Php3 million from 1PACMAN Partylist Rep. Mikee Romero following her gold medal win in the Tokyo Olympics.
It was Diaz herself who received the check from Romero, who earlier pledged to provide cash incentives for Filipino athletes who will bag medals in the Olympics.

According to Romero, gold medalists shall receive Php3 million, silver medalists shall receive P2 million, and bronze medalists shall receive P1 million.
Hidilyn Diaz brought pride to the Philippines after taking home the gold medal in the women’s 55 kilograms weightlifting competition at the Tokyo Olympics.
This was the first gold medal for the Philippines in the history of the Olympics. (TDT)
