The UST Growling Tigers clinched the last spot to the finals round of the UAAP Season 82 men’s basketball as the team stunned University of the Philippines, with a 68-65 victory.
The Growling Tigers will face the unbeaten Ateneo de Manila University in a best-of-3 series.
The Blue Eagles is looking at their third straight basketball championship.
The Tigers entered the semi-finals with an 8-6 win-loss record. They almost lost their match with Far Eastern University (FEU) before entering the Final 4.
Last week, UST managed to win against UP with 89-69 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
This is the first time UST will be appearing on the finals since 2015.
UP never won a round against UST in this season.
