Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla has firmly denied rumors circulating on social media claiming that he was rushed to the hospital on Friday.
Remulla personally addressed the issue during his radio program on Saturday, January 3, where he dismissed the reports as false. He said he remains in good health and is preparing for a busy 2026, noting that “many things are expected to happen” in the coming year.
Senator JV Ejercito, who joined Remulla on the program, also backed the Ombudsman’s statement. In a separate radio interview, Ejercito said Remulla is physically active, regularly engaging in golf, walking, gym workouts, and weight training.
Remulla previously underwent a quintuple bypass heart surgery in 2023 while serving as Justice Secretary. He later disclosed that he was diagnosed with leukemia but has since recovered and resumed an active lifestyle.
