‘Bukaka driver’ Influencer Surrenders License, Vows to Promote Road Safety After Viral Driving Video

Social media influencer Cherry White has surrendered her driver’s license to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) following a viral video that showed her dancing and driving with one foot raised along a road in Cainta, Rizal.

During a hearing on Friday, the LTO said White admitted her reckless behavior, apologized, and cooperated with investigators. Her license was earlier suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was placed under alarm.

LTO Chief Greg Pua Jr. acknowledged her humility and expressed hope she would help promote road safety moving forward. White claimed the original video was posted privately on her Instagram months ago and was only reposted by another user, causing it to go viral.

The LTO reminded White to take responsibility for her content. She committed to informing her followers not to imitate her actions and was instructed to submit documents related to the car she used during the incident by Monday.
