The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that the Red and Green Line of the Dubai Metro will undergo maintenance on April 17, 2024. This is following the extreme weather condition that hit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on April 16, 2024. Additionally, the RTA has provided free shuttle bus services at specific stations as an alternative for metro users.
There have been no announcements of which specific stations are providing the free bus services as of this writing.

The Dubai Metro has announced that it is already operating the Red line in the following stations: from Centrepoint to GGICO; from Burjuman station to World Trade Centre, and from Jabal Ali to Expo 2020 station.
