The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has successfully reclaimed over AED 2.32 million in financial aid from 107 Emirati recipients of the Nafis program who accepted fraudulent Emiratisation positions within the private sector.

MoHRE collaborated with Nafis, in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. 95 of 2022 on violations related to Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis) initiatives.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Ministry outlined its vigilance in monitoring companies’ adherence to hiring Emiratis, ensuring agreed salaries via the Wage Protection System, and aligning with pension funds’ records.

“Our systems track companies’ compliance with hiring Emiratis in real jobs, paying their salaries as agreed in their contracts through the Wage Protection System (WPS) and as shown in the digital link between the Ministry and pension funds in the UAE,” the Ministry said.

“We also have an effective smart inspection system and conduct regular field visits to companies employing Emirati citizens,” it added.

MoHRE also reiterated its commitment to nurturing Emirati human capital in the private sector and fostering a competitive job market. Legal action will be taken against counterfeit Emiratisation cases.

Moreover, UAE citizens were cautioned against counterfeit Emiratisation jobs and were encouraged to report policy violations via authorized channels such as the call center or the Ministry’s digital platforms.

In July, MoHRE exposed 436 companies engaged in fake Emiratisation, resulting in administrative penalties and fines.
