Marcos vows to improve domestic economy, opportunities for OFWs

President Bongbong Marcos has vowed to improve the country’s domestic economy so that more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) will no longer need to spend Christmas away from their families.

Marcos said that he made this realization when he had the opportunity to meet with OFWs in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and Finland.

Marcos also said that the government is addressing concerns about the seafaring industry.

Marcos also lauded the role of OFWs as ambassadors for the Philippines in their host countries.

“Maging professionals man, skilled workers, mga guro, engineers, hospitality staff, business owner, lahat ng Pilipino sa abroad ay nagdadala ng karangalan sa ating bansa dahil sa ipinamamalas nilang galing at malasakit sa kanilang trabaho,” the President said.
