Super Typhoon Karding is anticipated to make a landfall in the Philippines today, September 25, bringing “typhoon force winds” and heavy rainfall with Signal no. 5 announced in parts of Luzon.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) stated that “Karding” will first affect Polillo Islands and the extreme northern portion of Quezon (the northern and central portions of General Nakar, and the northeastern portion of Infanta) – these areas are currently under Signal no.5 .
The typhoon has maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 240 km/h.
