Billionaire Elon Musk has sealed a deal with Twitter to buy the company at $44 billion cash on Monday.
The 16-year-old social media company will now be under the world’s richest person after securing the multi-billion deal.

Musk has previously expressed his disappointment over the moderation policy of Twitter and even called himself an advocate of free speech.
Political conservatives hope that a Musk regime would mean less moderation and reinstatement of banned individuals like former U.S. president Donald Trump.
“Free speech is the bedrock of functioning democracy and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk said in a statement.

“I also want to make Twitter better by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating spam bots and authenticating all humans,” he said.
The billionaire is excited to work with the company.
