Senator Bong Go has decided to withdraw from the 2022 presidential race.
Go said that his family is against his plans to run for president.
The senator said that President Rodrigo Duterte, who initially urged him to run, accepted and understood his decision.

“Ayaw rin talaga ng aking pamilya kaya naisip ko na siguro ay hindi ko pa po panahon sa ngayon. Diyos lang ang nakakaalam kailan tamang panahon ko. Ayaw ko rin lalong maipit si Pangulong Duterte,” Go said in a statement.
Go initially filed his candidacy for vice president but later on withdraw from the race and substituted Senator Bato Dele Rosa as the standard bearer for PDP-Laban. (AW)
