Over 8 out of 10 college graduates willing to take COVID-19 vaccine in PH

College graduates are more likely to get their full doses of the COVID-19 vaccine compared to other adults in the Philippines, according to a recent survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The survey found that the willingness to get the jab was highest among college graduates with over 8 out of 10 (83 percent) who said that they are prepared to get fully vaccinated from COVID-19, followed by junior high school graduates at 68 percent, elementary school graduates at 59 percent and non-elementary graduates at 37 percent.

More adult Filipinos were willing to get vaccinated against the corona virus disease (COVID-19). As many as 6 out of 10 people said that they were fine with getting jabs, the survey released Friday showed.

For the study face-to-face interviews were conducted from September 27 to 30 among 1,500 adults nationwide. 64 percent of adult Filipinos said they are willing to get vaccinated, nine points higher than the 55 percent recorded in June.

Among those willing to get their COVID-19 shots, 25 percent have completed the two-dose regimen and 10 percent have been inoculated with the first dose. As many as 23 percent have said they would “surely get vaccinated” while 6 percent of them said they would “probably get vaccinated.”

As many as 19 percent said they are unsure about getting vaccinated while 18 percent were unwilling to get their COVID-19 jabs. Of the unwilling respondents, 14 percent said they will “surely not” get their COVID-19 shots, while 4 percent “will probably” not get themselves vaccinated. (AW)
