The Food and Drug Administration has approved the emergency use authorization (EUA) of Russia’s Sputnik light vaccine.
This is Russia’s version of a single-dose vaccine against COVID-19.

The announcement was made by National Task Force Chief Implementer and Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez and confirmed by FDA chief Eric Domingo.
“I’d like to announce that the EUA for Sputnik V, Sputnik Light na one dose na siya ay na-aprubahan na po ng FDA,” Galvez said.
Domingo added that the vaccine received its EUA last August 20.

Russia has authorized the use of Gamaleya’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine, Sputnik Light, in May. It is a human adenoviral vector platform that has a storage requirement of 2ºC to 8ºC.
According to the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Sputnik Light has an efficacy of 79.4%. (TDT)
