JUST ANNOUNCED: UAE private sector gets 6-day Eid Al Adha holiday starting July 19

The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced four days of paid holiday from July 19 to July 22 for the private sector, institutions and companies, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

Eid Al Adha is also known as the “festival of the sacrifice” in the Islam faith, and coincides with the Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah.

Earlier, a four-day holiday was announced in the UAE on the occasion of Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha for all ministries and federal agencies from Zul Hijjah 9 until Zul Hijjah 12 (July 19 to July 22). The paid holiday will followed by a weekend, July 23 and 24.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) extended its best wishes to the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The message also greeted the people in the UAE, Arab and Islamic nations on this happy occasion.
