The government will be prioritizing the healthcare workers residing in Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao for the donated 400,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines.
The donated vaccines arrived earlier this week from China. The Chinese government has so far donated a million doses of the COVID-19 shots.

The country is also expecting one million doses more from Sinovac by the end of this month which was procured by the government.
“Nagkaroon na ng desisyon ang ating NITAG (National Immunization Technical Advisory Group) na ‘yung mga kakarating na pinakahuling donasyon ng China na 400,000 na Sinovac ay ibibigay ang karamihan nito doon sa pinaka-apektado ng new variants kasama na ang NCR plus, Cebu, at Davao,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.

The government aims to vaccinate all healthcare workers in the country by mid April before proceeding to the next priority list which would be the nine million elderly Filipinos. (TDT)
