Veteran journalist Doris Bigornia’s open-heart surgery operation went well according to her daughter. Bigornia is now on her way to recovery after suffering from a heart attack last February 21.
Nikki Bigornia, the broadcaster’s daughter, provided some progress on her mother’s condition.
“Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagdasal at patuloy na nagdarasal para kay mommy. Natapos na po ang surgery niya nung isang araw at successful po ito,” she said.
“Subalit, patuloy po kaming humihingi ng inyong mga dasal para sa tuluy-tuloy na recovery ni mommy,” Nikki added.

Bigornia was rushed into a hospital last February after a heart attack. She was placed under the Intensive Care Unit and went to open-heart surgery.
Bigornia is more popularly known as ‘Mutya ng Masa’ and co-hosting the radio show SRO with Alvin Elchico.
“Bago po tayo mag-umpisa dahil marami po kasi ang nagtatanong so, nagpaalam po ako sa pamilya ni Mutya ng Masa Doris Bigornia na sabihin po sa inyo, pinapasabi lang po, ang Mutya ng Masa, siya po’y inatake sa puso noong Linggo, papuntang Lunes,” Elchico said last week.
“Siya po’y sinugod sa ospital at ngayon po’y nasa ICU. Ka-kaailanganin po ng ano eh, open-heart surgery. So ang pamilya po ay humihingi po ng panalangin, so sa ngalan po ng pamilya ni Doris Bigornia, ang Mutya ng Masa, kami po sa DZMM Teleradyo ay humihingi po ng inyong panalangin,” he added. (TDT)
