In the early hours of February 1, Monday, the military seized control of the country and detained de facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi and other top officials from her party.
On her caption, the PE teacher said the video she made was supposedly for an aerobic dance competition. She didn’t expect it to “become an unforgettable memory”.
The exercise video was shared 23,000 times since it was uploaded at 4:30 p.m. (PH time) on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021.

Her dance drew insults from military supporters in Myanmar to which the teacher replied that it wasn’t meant to mock or ridicule any organization as she was purely dancing for a competition.
She also uploaded the other videos she took while doing her exercise video showing that she has been doing it at the exact same spot.
She added that she continued dancing since she didn’t know it was a coup attempt as it is not uncommon in Myanmar’s capital to see an official convoy. (ES)
