The UAE’s National Vaccination Programme against COVID-19 has already vaccinated a million people.
Now to further boost its immunization program, the government announced that the vaccine can now be administered at home for senior citizens.
“Our message today is to a dear group, our elders. We have prioritised the availability of the vaccine to them,” Dr Farida Al Hosni, spokesperson for the UAE health sector, said in a briefing according to the Khaleej Times.
“Help us protect you, we can visit you at home to assess your medical condition and provide you the vaccine,” she added.
The vaccine is free-for-all residents and can be accessed at over 150 medical centers in the UAE.
The UAE is among the first few countries to roll out its vaccination program against the global pandemic. (TDT)
