Local health officials state that the first case of the new coronavirus strain in the US is a man in his 20s who is currently in isolation southeast of Denver in Elbert County, with no travel history.
Reports from Colorado Politics added that there are at least two more suspected cases of the variant in the state as per Dwayne Smith, director of public health for Elbert County.

Both individuals had been working at the Elbert County community of Simla. Reports furthered that neither of the two were residents — thereby increasing the possibility that the variant might have already spread in the state.
