Vaccine manufacturer Pfizer and BioNTech have applied for emergency use approval in the Philippines.
“It will take FDA 21 days to evaluate and approve the EUA but vaccination would start as soon as stocks become available,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed on Sunday.

The Pfizer vaccine is already being administered to residents in the United States and the United Kingdom.
The vaccine reportedly has 95% efficacy.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddyboy Locsin Jr, had revealed that the government supposedly secured 10 million doses of vaccine which was set to arrive in January until ‘someone dropped the ball’.
Health Secretary Francisco Duque denied that there was negligence in handling vaccine deals. (TDT)
