Over 100 employees have been provided with financial assistance from the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) through the humanitarian initiative ‘Jisr Al Khair’ that was launched during the UAE’s ‘Year of Giving’ back in 2017.
The financial grant reached a total of AED 1.15 million in a span of three years – that was meant to provide a financial net for employees of the company who were facing financial problems.

“The initiative collected about AED150,000 through donations from RTA’s staff who were keen to lend a hand to their colleagues facing financial difficulties over and above the contribution of AED One million from RTA Foundation,” read the statement from Dubai RTA’s official Twitter account.
RTA laid out a set of strict conditions to provide financial aid to deserving candidates, who received financial aid for needs such as otal or partial disability, chronic diseases, accumulated rents, and difficulties in paying school fees.
The ‘Jisr Al Khair’ initiative strictly followed the stipulations of Beit Al Khair Society and the MoU signed in this regard.
