JOBS UP FOR GRABS: Japan hiring more Filipino caretakers

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) said that Japan is now hiring Filipino caretakers. There are 300 positions up for grabs.

POEA said that male and female caretakers or “Kaigofukushishi” are needed by the Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS).

Deadline for the submission of application will be on December 15 for regional offices while for the main office will be on December 18.

Interested applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a graduate of a four year course with TESDA accreditation in caregiving.

“All candidates are required to undergo 12 months of intensive Japanese Language Training before working, six months of which will be for intensive Preparatory Japanese Language Training in the Philippines, and the other six months for intensive Japanese Language Training in Japan,” POEA said in a statement.

POEA explained that applicants with Japanese Language Proficiency Training Certificate (JLPT N4) will be exempted in the JLPT in the Philippines. They are however expected JLPT N5 level upon completion of the language training.
